testosterone is the real terrorist:

It's been two weeks since I blogged: too much going on, and I've been lacking in motivation... Until I saw this:



"If terrorism was not racialised, but gendered..." This is a very strong question, and it applies to war and violent crime as well. Race has always been the convenient scapegoat, because it is 'the difference' - it's always 'the other' - to blame masculinity implicates too many people: it's too close to home, too close to incriminating the perceived 'Norm': because those within 'the Norm', those who make up 'the Same' and 'the Self' are highly skilled in the art of shirking their responsibilities and looking for somebodies other to blame.
